Maharashtra: Railway minister assures early resumption of work on new suburban station between Thane and Mulund
Thane: Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw assured deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde that the long-pending work on the new suburban railway station, constructed between Thane and Mulund stations, would resume at the earliest,
Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske mentioned that he, along with party colleague and MP Dr Shrikant Shinde, met Vaishnaw regarding the project, following which Shinde assured them he would ensure traction for the works. Mhaske pointed out that the work was delayed due to a lack of coordination between the railway ministry and Mumbai division officials. “Vaishnaw has maintained that the railways would bear the entire cost,” said Mhaske, expressing hope that the project would now gain momentum.
