Maharashtra: MSEDCL provides five lakh new electricity connections overcoming Covid-19 hurdles

MUMBAI: MSEDCL has seen a turnaround over the past five months as compared to the previous Covid-19 months when it came to providing new power meter connections.

The power firm has in the past five months (March to July), expedited the work of distributing over 16 lakh new power meters to all its regional offices spread across Maharashtra, and of this, five lakh new electricity connections were provided to customers at the quickest possible time, an official said.

Around 435 new meters for high-tension (HT) consumers, mainly industrial and commercial, were also provided.
