Lucknow: Telecom company damages gas pipeline in Gomti Nagar, 4,000 households affected
LUCKNOW: Over 4,000 households in the Gomti Nagar area were affected throughout the day on Tuesday after a private telecom company laying optical fiber cable damaged the high pressurized gas pipeline for Green Gas Limited (GGL). This was the sixth incident this month.
The pipeline buried 1.2-meter deep was damaged near CMS chouraha at around 10am, which blocked the supply of liquefied petroleum gas in Vipul Khand, Vishal Khand, Viraj Khand, Vinay Khand, Vineet Khand, Viram Khand and Vivek Khand.
By the time this report was filed, officials of GGL claimed that it will take another three hours to restore the supply of cooking gas.
