LPG refill price raised by Rs 266, but households spared burden

NEW DELHI: In one of the steepest increases, the government on Monday jacked up the price of LPG — or cooking gas supplied in cylinders — by Rs 266 per refill but spared households by keeping the cost of domestic supplies unchanged.

After the latest increase, a 19-kg LPG cylinder used by commercial establishments such as hotels and eateries Rs 2,000.50 each in Delhi, Rs 1950 in Mumbai, Rs 2,073.50 in Mumbai and Rs 2,133 in Chennai.
