LPG cylinder price hiked for the second month. Check latest rates
NEW DELHI : The price of LPG cylinders rose for the second consecutive month today. Following a price hike of ₹15 per cylinder, a 14kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder now costs ₹605 in Delhi, ₹630 in Kolkata, ₹574.50 in Mumbai and ₹620 in Chennai. The new prices are effective from today as state-run fuel retailers announce new pricing of LPG cylinders at the beginning of every month.
Last month too, the prices were increased similarly by ₹15.50 per cylinder. Oil marketing companies calculate the retail price of LPG cylinders by taking into account two primary factors – international benchmark rates and the exchange rate of US dollar and rupee.
