LoP slams Delhi CM over electricity failure

Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta on Monday criticised the Delhi Government for its failure to ensure 24-hour uninterrupted power supply, reducing power bills, increasing power production and ensuring CAG audit of discoms.

Gupta said that the Government has been misleading public all these years by spreading misinformation and lies. He said that in a number of localities, power is not available for hours together leading to untold hardships.

“The Government has failed to ensure mechanism for compensation in case of unscheduled power cuts. Due to failure of the Government to bring legislation in Delhi Legislative Assembly with regard to compensation, the much needed relief has been entangled in legal complications,” he said.
