Lanco – Greenko scam

In our January 15, 2016 issue we had carried out a story titled, “Lanco-Greenko Budhil Deal: ‘Provisions’ made for additional Rs 133 crore payment for securing long term PPA on favorable terms.” In that issue we had pointed out how Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL) and Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission (UERC) breached the trust imposed in them while handling the Lanco / Greenko’s proposal to buy hydro power.
