Lam coke supply fraud in BPSL
The security team of the Bhushan Power and Steel Ltd (BPSL) detected theft, misappropriation and fraud in lam coke transportation and supply.
The vehicles engaged for the purpose with Reg. No. OR02AN 0551, OR21A 3685, OR05AB 5823, OR04M 2159 and OR11J 3772 designed a concealed water tank on the driver’s cabin of about five hundred liters capacity with provision to drain out the water at any point of time. As per the discloser by the drivers, they used to sale about 4 to 5 quintals of lam coke, during each trip near Manguli Chowk, Cuttack and compensate the weight of sold lam coke by filling water, in the concealed water tank.
