Kolkata: Fire breaks out inside Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport
A fire broke out inside Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Wednesday. A dedicated team of four firefighters actively engaged in extinguishing the fire. As a precautionary measure, all take-off and landing operations were temporarily suspended for some time. The check-in process resumed at 10:25 pm.
The fire broke out at Kolkata Airport’s 3C departure terminal building, Airport officials told ANI.
“Fire broke out at the D portal check-in counter. Due to smoke, passengers and staff were evacuated from the terminal building. No injuries were reported. The fire has been extinguished. The normal operation is being restored,” informed CISF.
