Kol Metro seeks DMRC advice on operational issues

Kolkata: Metro Railway is exchanging notes with DMRC for seamless operations of the Green Line (East-West) Metro, the carrier has said, clarifying that there is no possibility of handing over Green Line operations to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

Metro Railway’s GM, Subhransu Mishra, was asked by reporters at the launch of the Purple Line’s (Joka-Esplanade corridor) second tunnel borer on Oct 10 whether there was any likelihood of DMRC running the Green Line (Sector V-Howrah Maidan corridor) in the near future. The GM replied that Kolkata Metro only approached DMRC for advice on various operational issues, and no decisions were taken on handing over the Green Line operations to DMRC.
