Kochi Metro to increase train frequency to meet growing commuter demand
Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) has taken steps to address the rising number of commuters by implementing additional train trips, resulting in increased train frequency.
To accommodate the growing demand, KMRL will reduce the time between trains during peak hours from eight minutes to seven minutes and fifteen seconds. Similarly, during non-peak hours, trains will operate every eight minutes instead of the previous eight minutes and thirty seconds. These adjustments in train frequency are scheduled to take effect from Monday.
