Kejriwal gives Rs 10 lakh aid to kin of man drowning in Minto Bridge underpass

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday gave financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the family of Kundan Kumar, who lost his life due to drowning under the Minto Bridge here, as the road under the bridge was flooded due to heavy rain.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Kejriwal said,”Kundan Ji, a resident of Uttarakhand died in the Minto Bridge waterlogging. Today, gave his family a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh. I hope that the family will get some help from it. If his family needs any help in future also, we will definitely help.”

The 56-year-old Kundan Kumar, was a transport goods vehicle driver. Kundan drove the mini tempo and tried to cross the bridge, which was flooded due to heavy rain.
