Karnataka to upgrade Mangalore-Mudigere-Tumkur section of NH-73, Rs 343.74 cr facelift takes center stage

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, recently revealed a significant development in Karnataka that was aimed at enhancing regional connectivity. The minister disclosed an allocation of Rs 343.74 Crore which has been sanctioned for the expansion of the Mangalore-Mudigere-Tumkur section of NH-73. This strategic investment is intended to transform the existing infrastructure into a 2-lane road with paved shoulders, addressing the growing need for improved road networks.

Transformation of NH-73: The Scope of the Project

The expansion project, covering a distance of 10.8 km, is slated for execution under the EPC mode. This mode is chosen for its efficiency in handling complex projects, and it reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring the successful implementation of this initiative.
