Jyotiraditya Scindia asks airlines to ramp up safety oversight
Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Monday asked chiefs of Indian carriers to ramp up safety oversight in a one-on-one meeting, reported PTI citing sources. The meeting comes as a result of multiple technical malfunction incidents in Indian carriers’ planes that have taken place in the last one month.
According to PTI sources, Scindia told each airline to take all necessary steps that are needed to ramp up safety oversight.
