John Kerry launches Climate Action and Finance Mobilisation Dialogue in India
US climate envoy John Kerry launched the ‘Climate Action and Finance Mobilisation (CAFM) dialogue, a forum for collaboration towards climate action, with environment minister Bhupender Yadav in New Delhi on Monday. CAFM will rest on finance mobilisation, climate action and clean energy development besides adaptation measures, Kerry said
The dialogue will work towards curbing emission of greenhouse gases across sectors from transport to industry and focus on achievement of India’s ambitious 450 GW renewable energy target. Climate finance will be a key area of collaboration for inviting capital and a business environment for the switch to clean energy, he said.
