Jet Airways will have to prove itself again to get back permit

Jet Airways will have to go through the whole certification process to get back its permit to operate – known as the Air Operator’s Permit (AOP) – after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation did not approve the airline’s request for an exemption from the procedure.

“The airline will have to go through the whole process starting with proving flights, where the airline will have to demonstrate its ability to operate flights with officials and operating crew on board,” said a government official, who did not want to be identified.
