Residents of Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro and Jamshedpur can hope to get uninterrupted power supply during the festive season ahead as Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam (JBVNL) has made special arrangements to avoid any outages.
JBVNL has around 4.5 million consumers out of which residential consumers are 91 per cent.
On an average Ranchi requires around 230-260MW and the demand is set to increase during festivals. Similarly, Dhanbad requires 300MW on a daily basis. Jamshedpur has total power consumption around 120 MG.
In order to maintain smooth supply JBVNL has started electrician-on-call service for quick action.
“JBVNL has made elaborate arrangements to ensure quick service and uninterrupted power supply during the festival. JBVNL has set-up control room to monitor the situation round the clock.
