It’s battle royale in the electric car space with the big bang entry of Mahindra and Ola Electric
India’s domestic automakers are vying to gain a bigger share of the rapidly growing EV pie. Tata Motors NSE -0.12 % had the first mover advantage with the success of its Nexon EV. Now, the race to reach the top is heating up with Mahindra’s entry in the EV segment. The two biggies, who are already competing in the SUV space, will now take on each other in the EV category. And the story is not yet over. The EV battle will also see a new entrant with Ola Electric announcing its plans of rolling out an electric car by 2024 and offering a range of 500 km.
