IT techie denied Rs 89,000 refund after flight cancelled due to runway closure

An IT professional based in Canada while travelling from Bengaluru to his connecting flight in Mumbai has been denied a refund of Rs 89,000 after the KIA airport was shut down due to a private jet crash, reported TOI.

The man who was returning to Montreal in Canada after visiting his family in Hosur had booked his tickets back in August. He was travelling with Vistara from Bengaluru to Mumbai after which he had a connecting flight to Montreal with Swiss Airlines.
