Comedian Kunal Kamra’s latest move of sending a legal notice to IndiGoNSE 2.32 % against the flying ban on him has raised questions on who the real offender is: he or the airlines which banned him.
Kamra has demanded that IndiGo revoke the 6-month flying ban on him, issue an unconditional apology and pay Rs 26 lakh in damages and legal costs.
Lawyers and industry experts said while Kamra has a case of rules being sidestepped, IndiGo can fall back on the aviation minister’s tweet advising other airlines to ban him and the fact that most of them did.
