IOCL spends Rs 11.5 cr for B’garh hosp ICU
Under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the Indian Oil Corporation Limited in association with the Dasari Veer Raju and Gunnam Ram Chandra Rao Memorial Trust, is augmenting 100-bed ICU ventilator facilities at Vikash Multi-Specialty Hospital (VMSH) at a total cost of Rs 11.5 crore in Bargarh district.
Under the project, 70 ventilators, 50 monitors and 200 syringe pumpsare being provided by the Indian Oil for establishing the ICUventilator facilities aimed at treating critical Covid-19 patients inwestern Odisha.
As the second wave of Covid-19 sweeps through the country, the western Odisha too is entering explosive phase with test positivity rate (TPR) shooting up. The TPR in some districts of western Odisha isalarmingly high.
