Easing of rules for Indian students in the US and UK and hopes of a gradual reopening of international flights in the near future have led to a small spurt in demand for international air travel, said senior executives at travel companies.
“In the last 3 weeks, we have seen a spike of one-way bookings (up to 75%) to the US, UK and Canada, likely driven by students heading over to these destinations for higher studies,” said Rajiv Subramanian, vice president at travel portal Cleartrip.
