The centre develops National Highways. In 2016-17, it had completed construction of 8,231 kms of NHs, which means 22.55 km per day. This was getting better year wise year since 2014-15, but the speed in the current year has slowed down. Upto November 30, 2017, only 4,942 km of NHs has been completed, which means 20.25 km per day.
