Indraprastha Gas Limited asks households to top up security deposits

Indraprastha Gas (IGL) has asked households in Delhi and other cities to top up security deposits for their piped gas connections as monthly bills have sharply risen following a spike in natural gas prices.

IGL normally seeks a security deposit of ₹1,000, an average customer’s two-month bill, at the time of providing a fresh connection. It’s revised the deposit based on the trailing 12-month consumption pattern.
