IndiGo shares rise 3%, hit 52-week high on record 500-aircraft order

Shares of InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) rose nearly 3% to hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs 2,500 in Tuesday’s trade on BSE after India’s largest airline placed an order for 500 Airbus A320 family aircraft, the biggest-ever single aircraft purchase order by any airline with Airbus. IndiGo is scheduled to receive these new airplanes between 2030-2035 and the total value of the order is estimated to be approximately $50 billion. The order includes a combination of A320 Neo, A321 Neo, and A321 XLR aircraft models.
