BENGALURU: A pilot working with IndiGo Airlines has been grounded for misbehaving with a 75-year-old passenger and her daughter on board flight 6E 806 from Chennai to Bengaluru on Monday.
According to the younger woman, who narrated her ordeal on social media on Tuesday, the pilot ‘harassed and threatened’ her and her mother for requesting wheelchair assistance upon landing at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.
Civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri responded to the passenger on Twitter, assuring a full inquiry into the matter.
The passenger, Supriya Unni Nair, on Tuesday tweeted that the pilot ‘yelled’ at her and her mother and threatened to prevent them from disembarking. The pilot also threatened Supriya and her mother with jail time, she said, in a series of tweets.
