IndiGo Flight Cancellations: DGCA asks its inspectors to operate for IndiGo, waives off new pilot rest rules

IndiGo Flights: Civil aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked its inspectors to operate flights for IndiGo. DGCA hires pilots on contract for five years during which they act as auditors and are barred to operate airline for any airline.

The regulator has also further given relaxation from multiple clauses in the new pilots rest rules including where there was a cap on the number of landings a pilot can during night hours. DGCA has further allowed airlines to club leaves taken by pilots with tenure of mandatory weekly rest.
