IndiGo crisis: New pilot rest and duty rules, technical glitches led to flight cancellations, airline tells DGCA

IndiGo, in its response to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s show-cause notice on Monday, said that a combination of factors, including new pilot rest and duty rules and “minor” technical glitches, had led to the cancellation of at least 2,000 flights last week.
For seven days in a row, IndiGo has witnessed significant operational disruptions, with hundreds of flight cancellations and delays, causing hardships to thousands of passengers.
