IndiGo becomes IATA member

MUMBAI: IndiGoNSE 0.22 % Wednesday announced it has become a member of the global lobbying body the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a step which will help India’s biggest airline forge commercial partnerships with member airlines across the world.

The airline became the second low fare carrier in India after SpiceJetNSE 0.91 % to get an IATA membership. IATA is a group of more than 290 member airlines. National carrier Air India and Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, are also members.
