India’s top 20 national highway stretches: Key things to know

NEW DELHI: The Union road ministry and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) recently ranked national highways (NHs) across India.
The ranking was done on 39 parameters which were broadly categorised under three main criteria – efficiency, safety and user services.
A 102.3-km stretch of the six-lane Ahmedabad-Vadodara section, which connects Delhi to Chennai, emerged as the best highway stretch in India.
The highway stretch built by IRB Infrastructure Developers got an overall score of 91.81 out of 100.
