India’s road network grew 59% in 9 years: Nitin Gadkari

India’s road network grew 59% to become the second largest in the world, after the US, as part of the development work carried out by the government in the last nine years, road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari said Tuesday. The road network stands at 1,45,240 km now compared to 91,287 km in 2013-14, he added. He was addressing a conference on ‘9 years’ achievements of government’ here.
