India’s clean energy lures investors despite pandemic, slowdown – Report

NEW DELHI: Despite Covid-19 and the economic downturn, the renewable energy sector continues to attract interest from investors, said a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and CEEW Centre for Energy Finance (CEEW-CEF).

Projects with a total capacity of 15.3 GW were sanctioned during the first half of the year, the study said. The collaboration between IEA and CEEW tracks the renewable energy sector at the project level, and takes a look at the financing trends as well.
