Indian travellers to UK will not benefit from simpler entry rules
NEW DELHI: Travellers going from India to the UK will not benefit from the simpler rules for overseas travellers being adopted there from October 4.
India is not on the list of countries covered by the new rules and travellers from here will continue to be covered under the amber list rules that do not require quarantine in a hotel but at any place of stay.
A spokesperson for the British High Commission in Delhi said: “The UK is committed to opening up international travel again as soon as is practicable and this announcement is a further step to enable people to travel more freely again, in a safe and sustainable way, while protecting public health.
