Delhi, along with several parts of north India, is grappling with a relentless cold wave and dense fog, causing significant delays in both rail and air travel. The biting cold and reduced visibility have led to the delay of 30 trains in and around the capital, creating an unwelcome hurdle for commuters.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that these cold to severe cold wave conditions will persist across the northwestern plains for the next three days. Passengers expecting a smooth journey into the capital were met with disruptions, ranging from minor 30-minute setbacks to substantial 6-hour delays.
