Indian Railways to run first full Economy AC-3 tier train from Delhi to Patna; details
Indian Railways’ first full Economy AC-3 tier train will run between Delhi and Patna. The new service will be started as a special train in the festive season and to begin with a total of 5 trips are planned, a railway official told TOI. The special Economy AC-3 tier train will have 20 coaches and will run under the Northern railway zone, the official said. The base fare of Economy AC-3 tier coach is 8% less than the normal AC-3 class of coaches.
Train number 01684/01683 ANVT-PNBE-ANVT Gati Shakti Special superfast reserved service will commence service from October 29. The new Economy AC train will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi on October 29, October 31, November 2, November 5 and November 7. In the return direction the train will leave Patna Junction railway station on October 30, November 1, November 3, November 6 and November 8. En route the train will stop at Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, Varanasi, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction and Danapur in both the directions.
