Indian Railways takes U-turn, sticks to white-blue colour for new Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat – Here’s the reason why

The recently inaugurated Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat train, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, maintains the traditional white and blue color scheme, similar to the first one.

This comes as a deviation from the brochures distributed by the Northern Railway (NR) a day before the launch, which showcased the train in saffron and grey hues.

“We have plans to convert the present white-blue Vande Bharat into saffron-grey colour in the future because they are in the process of manufacturing at coach factories,” a senior NR official told PTI.
