India wary of EU proposal on labour and green violations

After the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the European Union’s deforestation law, India is keeping an eye on a proposed legislation of the bloc which seeks to mitigate any labour and environmental impact on its importers’ business. Officials said though it is in the draft stage, the Corporate Sustainable Due Diligence Directive will have an impact on India’s exporters and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
