India must get back to 19-20% export growth: Piyush Goyal
NEW DELHI: Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday said India must try to bring back the 19-20 per cent export growth to be able to reach the 5 trillion dollar economy mark as envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This translates into a trillion-dollar of exports over the next five years, a goal that would test the ability of the government to push exports in difficult global economic conditions.
“On the export front, we are willing to take bold decisions and steps. The 5 trillion dollar economy cannot be completed unless we once again get back to the 19-20 per cent growth levels.
