Increasing partnership between India & IEA could soon yield full membership: IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol

An increasing partnership between India and the International Energy Agency (IEA) could soon yield a full-member status for India, IEA’s executive director Fatih Birol said on Wednesday.

“We hope that after this signing ceremony, the potential pathways to eventual membership will be closely looked into from both sides — New Delhi and member countries,” Birol said while speaking at the signing of a strategic partnership between India and IEA.
