Increased rates of electricity implemented in October

Stating October, once again the electricity rates have been increased. Now, if you consume 200 units of electricity, then from this month you will have to pay Rs 22 more. In the midst of rising inflation, the increase in electricity rates will definitely bring a heavy burden on the pockets of the general public.

The Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) has been increased by 10 paise. After which consumers will now have to pay 20 paise FCA instead of 10 paise per unit. The same increased rates came into effect from 1 October.

In fact, the government compensates for 100 units of electricity by giving subsidy to the power companies. Therefore, consumers up to 100 units will not suffer any loss due to increase in electricity rates at present,
