The 17-km priority section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Corridor is slated to be opened for passengers on October 21. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this section on October 20. For the first time, state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled Door Frame Metal Detector (DFMD) are being used for the security screening of commuters at the soon-to-open Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Corridor stations. This system, by screening the commuters, will help prevent any suspicious item from reaching the station. The luggage scanners installed at the station entry gates are also equipped with artificial intelligence.
