IGIA first airport to get two state-of-the art MRO hangers

The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Wednesday said that Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport has become the first airport in India, which got two state-of-the-art maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) hangars for the General Aviation Terminal. Each hangar has approximately 2,000 square meter floor space and it can accommodate six to eight midsize GA aircraft. The new hangars will not only help save time and money for the operators but also reduce environmental pollution to a large extent.

According to the statement released by DIAL, the hangars are fully operational since April 2022, and these hangars serve the business jets and general aviation (GA) aircraft.
