IAF VIP jet conducts exercise over Raipur airport

An Indian Air Force (IAF) Embraer Jet, used to ferry the President or Prime Minister, conducted a low pass fly by at the Swami Vivekananda Airport here on Wednesday as part of regular exercise.

Swami Vivekananda Airport Authority Director Rakesh Sahai said that the jet reached Raipur Airport and started to land. But just before touching the runway, the plane again took to the skies. Sahai said it is part of a routine practice conducted by IAF.

He said the IAF had earlier conducted similar exercises at Raipur Airport with different aircraft. The Jet left for the Nagpur Air Force Base after the session.
