Hydro project GM missing; cops begin probe
The Mukhiguda police have began an investigation after registering a case on Tuesday into the missing of Upper Indravati Hydro Electric Project (UIHEP) General Manager Narayan Prasad Meher (55) on Tuesday evening. Meher has been reportedly missing for the last two days. He was residing in a Government quarter at Mukhiguda under the Jaipatna police station in Kalahandi district. His wife Surekha, who filed the FIR, told mediapersons that Narayan went to his office at 10.30 am on Monday and did not return home.
“As far as my knowledge goes he had no enmity with anybody. When I called him at 12.40 pm yesterday he did not respond,” she said.
The Mukhiguda outpost, Sub-Inspector Premchand Sahu said investigation is on.
