NEW DELHI: Hindustan Petroleum Corp’s profit climbed 157% to Rs 2,252 crore in the April-June quarter despite a sharp drop in sales on the back of inventory gains and increased marketing margins.
The company reported sales of Rs 46,702 crore in April-June, down 38% from the same quarter last year as demand was badly hit by the lockdown imposed to stem the spread of the pandemic.
