How automakers are planning to offer the ‘real feel’ with EVs

Carmakers across the auto industry have been investing billions of dollars in developing electric vehicles (EVs). As car companies push toward the EVs, some of them are planning to offer the ‘real feel’ of driving a car to their customers that are habituated to traditional vehicles. According to a report by The Verge, Japanese car maker Toyota is working on an electric vehicle prototype that will mimic the feel of driving a car with manual transmission.

This prototype vehicle will reportedly feature a gear shift that won’t be connected to anything and will also have a floor-mounted speaker that will produce fake engine noises.
