Hindustan Powerprojects commissions first unit of 600 MW Anuppur plant
NEW DELHI: Hindustan Powerprojects today said it has commissioned first unit of 600 MW of its Anuppur thermal power plant in Madhya Pradesh.
“Hindustan Powerprojects successfully achieved COD of unit-I (600 MW) of the first phase of its flagship 2520 MW Anuppur thermal power project in Madhya Pradesh,” the company said in a statement.
The company had signed power purchase agreements with Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh governments. The coal for the project is being secured through a fuel supply agreement with South Eastern Coalfields.
The first phase of the project has been commissioned at a total cost of Rs 8,000 crore.
