Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. shares drop 0.75% as Sensex rises
Shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. traded 0.75 per cent down at Rs 223.8 at 01:24PM (IST) on Monday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 386.98 points to 49169.49.
The scrip had settled at Rs 225.5 in the previous session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 257.8 and 52-week low of Rs 155.0, respectively. As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 01:24PM (IST) stood at 215143 shares with a turnover of Rs 4.8 crore.
At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 5.47 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 40.87 per share and 0.94 times its price-to-book value, exchange data showed.
A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future.
