Himachal Pradesh govt will generate 2,000MW power in 3 years to provide 300 units free electricity: CM

SHIMLA: The chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu led government of Himachal Pradesh will generate 2,000MW of electricity in the next three years to fulfil its election promise of providing 300 units of free electricity to the people of the state made during the assembly elections.

The government will fulfil its election promise only after this electricity is generated. This was stated by the chief minister in the Assembly on Friday in response to the discussion on the private member resolution brought by Vipin Singh Parmar of BJP. Satisfied with the chief minister’s reply, Parmar withdrew his resolution.
