Green plugs: Metro parking lots to boast of 70 EV charging stations
NEW DELHI: Apart from providing safe and comfortable commute, Delhi Metro now has infrastructure for charging electric vehicles. Of the 100 locations identified by Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) for installing the EV charging facilities, 70 are in Delhi Metro parking lots and 46 of them already have operational facilities.
“Transmission utility DTL has been designated as the state nodal agency for setting up of charging infrastructure in the entire city. As many as 100 locations have been identified by DTL, of which 70 are in metro parking lots,” said a senior official of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The official added that 46 sites of EV power conditioning systems are operating successfully and the rest 24 sites will also become functional soon.
